「at the same」の意味、使い方

「at the same time」の意味は2つあり

① 同時に ② それでも、それにもかかわらず の2つです。　 ①は文字通りの意味なのでわかりやすいと思います。 ②は時間という概念から少し離れ、接続詞的に使用します。「nevertheless」という単語と同じ意味になります。

She had to cook dinner for her husband and take care of her son at the time last night. = At the same time that she had to cook dinner for her husband, she had to take care of her son last night. 彼女は旦那に夕飯を作りながら、息子の面倒もみなくてはならなかった。
